Springfield Properties to build 59 new homes in Kinross

Private and affordable home housebuilder Springfield Properties is set to deliver 59 homes in Kinross after construction started on a new development in the Perthshire town.

The company is delivering two, three and four-bedroom homes at Springfield Kinross. Each home will be fitted with 7kw electric car charging cables, future proofing the home and facilitating the easy installation of charge points.

The energy efficient houses are expected to go on sale in the coming weeks.

Springfield Properties’ central sales director, Tricia Malek, said: “This is the first time we’ve built in Kinross and we’re excited to show house hunters in the area the Springfield product. As standard, Springfield includes a wide range of choices in its homes and we encourage customers to personalise their home and choose their carpets, tiles, paint colours, kitchen worktops, doors and handles. And now, with the help of computer generated imaging, customers are able to design their home by using Choices Interactive.

“Choices Interactive is a brilliant tool. It demonstrates the true extent of the choices we offer and actually shows the customer what their new home could look like inside. Our Kinross customers will be able to use Choices Interactive to save, print and share their designs.”

The construction of the development at Kinross will bring new jobs to the area, support local suppliers and create work for nearby trades.

Tricia added: “The Scottish Government has pledged that by 2032, all new cars sold will be electric. This is why we made the decision to include charging cables in our homes, so if a Springfield customer opts for an electric car, it’ll be much easier and far less intrusive for a charging point to be installed.”
