St Andrews adds to investment in West Lothian HQ
St Andrews Timber & Building Supplies is looking to strengthen its sales team in Livingston as it continues to invest in its flagship branch.
The company’s West Lothian headquarters serves the central belt and beyond having opened towards the end of 2022 on a purpose-built four-acre site.
Ongoing development has seen the facility enhance its large landscaping division, while 12 months ago a new machine shop opened for cut-to-order services for timber and sheet materials.
Bosses believe the newest of the firm’s four branches - there are two in Edinburgh and one in Paisley – has yet to meet its full potential and are recruiting for a sales office manager to help drive the business forward in Livingston.
“We are very proud of the facility we have in Livingston,” said operations director Kerrie Ferguson.
“It is our flagship branch and we want the new sales manager to spearhead the sales team and drive new business while developing current relationships with customers and suppliers.
“The branch has grown steadily since opening three years ago and we plan for that to continue.
“We have ambitious targets for the year ahead and expanding the sales team is one of the key areas of our growth strategy.”
The new appointment will take the number of sales staff in Livingston to eight, and Ms Ferguson added: “For the right person with the right hunger, motivation and attitude, the role will be a rewarding one.”
