Station Wynd to bring new homes and fresh opportunities to Nitshill

A new residential development is set to bring 25 thoughtfully designed homes to Nitshill, as Clark Contracts progresses work on Station Wynd for Strathcarron Developments.
A ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of works took place on the 24th of July attended by Dallas Rhodes and Angus MacLeod from Strathcarron Developments, Graham Whitters from Unum Partnership, Lynne Roy from Hardies, Jim McLaughlin from Fairhurst, Susan Campbell from The Bank, Laura Laurie from Corum Property and Clark Contracts project team, including director, Michael Scanlan.
Located on Nitshill Road, Station Wynd offers a collection of two and three-bedroom properties aimed at first-time buyers, young families and local residents. As part of a funding partnership with the Scottish National Investment Bank and Glasgow City Council, the first release of homes will prioritise local buyers and those stepping onto the property ladder for the first time. This approach aims to support home ownership and strengthen community ties.
Each home has been designed with modern living in mind, incorporating energy efficient features such as air-source heat pumps to provide a sustainable and cost effective alternative to traditional heating systems.
Dallas Rhodes of Strathcarron Developments said: “Station Wynd is about creating homes that are practical, sustainable and accessible for local people. We’re proud to be bringing forward a development that supports first-time buyers and helps families stay in the community they know and love.”
Michael Scanlan, director at Clark Contracts, added: “We are delighted to be working with Strathcarron Homes to deliver these high-quality, energy efficient homes for Nitshill. It’s a fantastic project that combines thoughtful design with sustainable construction.”

The project received loan finance of £3.9m from the Scottish National Investment Bank and will see high-quality family homes built for local tenants and first-time buyers. The site is being developed as part of Glasgow City Council’s wider Nitshill Regeneration Framework and is being supported by a Partnership Support for Regeneration grant from the Scottish Government, administered by Glasgow City Council.
Discussing the funding, Susan Campbell, director, market creation (place) of the Scottish National Investment Bank, added: “We are delighted to support Strathcarron Developments in delivering these much-needed homes. This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission of creating sustainable, high-quality and affordable housing solutions for the community.”
Construction is being led by Clark Contracts, with sales and marketing managed by estate agent Corum Property.
The first homes at Station Wynd will be released for sale in Autumn of this year.
Dallas Rhodes of Strathcarron Developments added: “Station Wynd is about creating homes that are practical, sustainable and accessible for local people. We’re proud to be bringing forward a development that supports first-time buyers and helps families stay in the community they know and love.”
Ewan Blair, partner at Corum Property, said: “We expect demand to be especially high among first-time buyers keen to secure a quality home in a well-connected area. It’s an excellent, and affordable, route to home ownership for many within the local community.”

Councillor Ruairi Kelly, convener for Housing and Development at Glasgow City Council, said: “These high-quality new family homes will help meet the need for this type of housing and contribute to the regeneration of the area. The council’s framework for Nitshill calls for brownfield sites such as these to be developed to bring new housing to local communities, and we are pleased to work with project partners to support this development.”
