Stewart Milne's Dalhebity House goes on market for £7.5m

A mansion house created by Stewart Milne Homes executive chairman Stewart Milne and his partner Joanna Robertson is being marked by Savills for offers over £7.5 million.

Dalhebity House, which extends to over 30,000 square feet and includes a spa complex, swimming pool and staff accommodation, is surrounded by about 10 acres with trees and woodland, seven miles from Aberdeen International Airport.

Built on the site of Diana, Princess of Wales’ late grandmother’s former home, the house comprises eight bedrooms, a cocktail bar, a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, tennis court and its own lake.

Fiona Gormley from Savills said: “The sheer scale and finish of this sumptuous house is hugely impressive and yet the clever design and layout mean the space does not overwhelm: informal and supremely comfortable family rooms balance with wonderful entertaining areas.”

She added that a “modern-built house of this stature is utterly unique in Scotland and it’s an extraordinary achievement”.

Last month, Stewart Milne revealed he is to put the housebuilding business up for sale to spend more time with his family.
