Taylor Wimpey secures planning permission for its first homes at Maidenhill

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has confirmed that detailed planning consent has been secured from East Renfrewshire Council for 106 new homes on land off Ayr Road at Maidenhill, Newton Mearns.

The 11.5 acre site is identified for housing in the East Renfrewshire Local Development Plan, and it forms part of the approved detailed planning permission currently in place for the wider Maidenhill masterplan vision.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s first parcel of development will deliver a range of three, four and five bedroom homes from its latest Scottish house type range. Each home will have feature stone detailing and there will be a variety of styles and sizes to appeal to a wide range of customers.

It will also include a feature pocket park for the enjoyment of local residents.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said the development represents a significant investment in the local area by it, and a key milestone for the wider Maidenhill masterplan.

As well as creating a significant residential development of new homes, this parcel of development will also contribute to a range of wider community benefits through a Section 75 Agreement with East Renfrewshire Council, which will include contributions towards education.
