Engineering services firm TClarke has relocated from Falkirk to a new base at Maxim Park in a move designed to provide its staff with an improved working environment.

The team, which prides itself on the career prospects and apprenticeships it offers, with 55 people currently undertaking professional training in Scotland, has signed up to just over 5,000 sq.ft on the first floor of Maxim 3.

The firm launched its new office earlier this week after committing to a 10-year lease with landlord Shelborn Asset Management. Knight Frank and CBRE acted upon Shelborn’s behalf as joint letting agents for Maxim Park.

TClarke’s MD for Scotland, Chris Harris, said: “As well as being a client-focused move, this is about giving our people a real upgrade in their work environment. We’ve always taken pride in our strong team culture, and the retail and leisure amenities available at Maxim were a big factor in our decision to relocate here. We know that a happy and healthy workforce delivers the best results for our clients.”

TClarke, which recently announced a three-year strategic plan to reach an annual turnover of £500m across its network of 20 UK offices, is actively looking to fill a number of new positions at Maxim.

The firm’s new base is currently undergoing a programme of fit-out works to provide modern collaborative workspace incorporating a range of break out spaces and informal meeting areas.

Caroline Baillie, Maxim’s director of park services, added: “We have an increasingly impressive roster of organisations embracing our facilities at Maxim Park, and we’re proud to welcome TClarke to the fold.

“We know the firm has bold ambitions as well as a long and successful history, and we’re glad to be able to support TClarke on its journey. Across many sectors, there is a growing appreciation of the many benefits of providing staff with an uplifting and healthy workplace. Thanks to the quality of our buildings, outdoor spaces and amenities, Maxim has a great deal to offer forward-looking companies such as TClarke.”

In the last 12 months, Shelborn has also welcomed biotech company LumiraDX Ltd and life science group Sartorius to Maxim Park. Located alongside the M8 motorway, the 756,000 sq. ft. development, which was acquired by Shelborn in 2018 and forms part of Eurocentral, boasts quality office and retail space with amenities including a hair salon, childcare facilities, a golf simulation centre and coffee shops.
