Tilbury Douglas hands over North Lanarkshire Council’s fleet building project

Tilbury Douglas has handed over the new Fleet Depot Project to North Lanarkshire Council.

The project, based in Bellshill, will provide a new facility to service, maintain and MOT the council’s light goods and heavy goods vehicle fleet. Tilbury Douglas was the main contractor on the design and construction of the two-storey industrial depot within an existing council live site.

The new build facility contains a workshop, storage unit, open plan office, interview rooms and welfare accommodation.

Speaking about the project, Barry O’Hagan, Scottish regional director at Tilbury Douglas, said: “We are delighted to have delivered a high-quality project for North Lanarkshire Council. Our team has enjoyed working on this project with the wider client team, design teams and supply chain.

“The fleet depot adds to our strong track record in delivering public buildings for communities in Scotland and supplements our extensive industrial experience.”
