The quarrying and construction materials business said the skills of the new additions map directly to the company’s current priorities: regional integration and commercial development in England, operational excellence and product quality in hard rock, technical leadership to support their Mortars & Renders business, and robust land and estates management to underpin long-term, sustainable operations.

The appointments are targeted actions to ensure the business has the specialist capability required to translate growth into reliable delivery, regulatory confidence and stronger customer outcomes.

Dave Lewis joins as general manager for East Anglia to lead the company’s next phase of regional development following the acquisition of Middleton Aggregates. Dave’s track record of running operations globally gives him the mix of integration experience, commercial acumen and leadership needed to support continued growth in the East Anglia Region and integrate Middleton into the Tillicoultry Quarries family.

“I am delighted to have joined Tillicoultry Quarries at such a pivotal time for the business in East Anglia as we continue to grow our presence, and team, in the region,” Dave said.

Appointed production manager for Hard Rock, Gordon Hynd brings more than 37 years’ industry experience, including three decades in operational management. Gordon’s experience and knowledge will support the business to maintain health and safety standards, continue to optimise plant performance and develop and grow our teams.

“With the company continuing to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to apply my experience to continue driving innovation, and quality, across Tillicoultry Quarries’ hard rock business. I’m looking forward to working with the team to support the next phase of growth and success,” Gordon commented.

Grant Morrison has been appointed technical sales manager for Mortars & Renders to support the future growth of this division of the business. Grant was selected because of his deep technical sales experience within the building envelope sector and his proven ability to translate product capability into contractor confidence and project specification.

He will lead customer technical support, product training, and close collaboration with specifiers and test houses-ensuring Tillicoultry’s Mortars & Renders are recommended on projects for their performance, compliance and value.

“I’m excited to focus my experience in growing Tillicoultry Quarries’ Mortars and Renders business, providing the tailored technical support and customer quality Tillicoultry Quarries are known for,” Grant said.

Nick Beale steps in as land and estates manager to strengthen the group’s approach to land strategy, planning, permitting and community engagement, which are critical foundations for sustainable minerals operations. Nick’s 25-plus years advising across minerals, waste, energy and infrastructure make him the right choice to secure long-term site options and permissions, manage stakeholder and regulator relationships, and ensure environmental and community commitments are met as the business grows.

His remit includes protecting future reserves, delivering planning outcomes that balance operational needs with community interests, and embedding best practice on biodiversity, reinstatement and site stewardship.

“I look forward to using my experience in land management to help expand operations, work responsibly with communities and stakeholders, and ensure our sites continue to operate sustainably while supporting the business’s long-term success,” Nick added.
