Tim Horton's submits plans for Perth drive-through

Canadian fast food chain Tim Horton’s has submitted plans to open a 24-hour drive-through restaurant in Perth.

The chain is aiming to take over the former Frankie and Benny’s restaurant on Dunkeld Road, The Courier reports.

The move comes shortly after Dundee councillors rejected proposals for a similar Tim Horton’s drive-through at the New Craigie Retail Park, though the company is re-applying.

On the Perth site, Tim Horton’s said their plans would “bring back into use a vacant unit within a prominent location”.

It added: “Drive-thru restaurants encourage social distancing and are a fantastic way for restaurant businesses to remain financially viable during the current pandemic.”
