Wick Community Campus reinstatement works set for summer

Reinstatement works for a section of wall cladding for the games hall at Wick Community Campus will be carried out during the coming summer holiday period, it has been agreed.

The Highland Council and its development partners Hub North Scotland (Wick) Ltd came to the agreement to minimise disruption to the building users, in particular pupils at Wick High School, who are currently undergoing national exams until June.

The campus also includes Newton Park Primary School and the East Caithness Community Facility.

A small number of cladding panels were damaged during Storm Arwen and interim works were carried out at the time to allow the building to safely reopen. Subsequent inspections have taken place to establish the permanent reinstatement works required to provide a long-term solution.
