The move follows the successful adoption of the main spine road through the development, signalling the delivery of a key piece of the overall St Clements Wells masterplan,  which has improved accessibility into and around the development for homeowners, as well as its connectivity to the wider local community.

The next phase of 149 new homes off Futures Way in Wallyford will complement phase 1 of the Ravensheugh development to provide a choice of two, three, and four-bedroom homes. Phase 2 of the development also forms part of the wider St Clements Wells masterplan that will deliver a new primary school, proposed new secondary school, local centre and community woodland along with new foot and cycle connections to Wallyford and the local train station.

The development will also complement Taylor Wimpey’s nearby Letham Mains development in Haddington, and Weldon Grange in Macmerry, as well as future land interests in Dunbar, signalling continued and significant investment in East Lothian and the surrounding area by the company.

Pauline Mills, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, added: “We are so pleased to be starting the construction of our second development in Wallyford, which further cements our commitment to the wider East Lothian area.

“Ravensheugh will continue to provide residents from around the local area with a wide selection of homes, while also offering great commutable routes to Edinburgh and the wider area.

“As one of the largest housebuilders in the UK, we are committed to building more than homes and making sure that we add social, economic and environmental value to the wider communities that we operate in.”

Jonathan Brindle on behalf of East Lothian Developments said: “East Lothian Developments have been delighted by the success of phase 1 of the Taylor Wimpey Ravensheugh development and the positive impact those houses have had at the entrance to St Clements. We welcome the start of phase 2 and look forward to more new homeowners shortly having the opportunity to benefit both from the Taylor Wimpey homes and the wider facilities that are now being completed at St Clements.”

Kirsty McGill, sales and marketing director, added: “Following the popularity of our new homes in Phase 1 of Ravensheugh, we are delighted to confirm that our first release of new homes in Phase 2 will launch for sale on Saturday 19 March 2022. This will allow us to continue to provide an impressive mix and choice of new homes to appeal to a wide range of buyers looking to make their move to a new home this year.”
