Management Committee Members
Help shape the future of Reidvale Housing Association
Reidvale Housing Association is recruiting new Management Committee members.
Reidvale Housing Association is a community-based Registered Social Landlord and Scottish Charity with strong roots in the local community. Our Management Committee plays a vital role in leading and directing the Association, making sure we deliver good services, remain financially strong, and continue to make a positive difference for tenants and the wider community.
Following the resignation of one Committee member, and the planned retirement of another at our Annual General Meeting in September 2026, we are looking to recruit two new Management Committee members. We hope to appoint one new Committee member to fill the current casual vacancy before the AGM, with a further vacancy expected to arise at the AGM in September 2026.
We are particularly keen to hear from people who can bring fresh perspectives and experience, including:
- younger people, including those under 40
- people who live within, or close to, our area of operation
- people with asset or property management experience, including building maintenance, tenant safety, construction, new homes, or health and safety knowledge
- people with digital, IT, social media, business systems, finance, audit, budgeting, or accountancy skills
However, you do not need to fit neatly into one of these categories. The most important qualities are enthusiasm, commitment, sound judgement, and a genuine interest in helping Reidvale Housing Association improve services and support its community.
Management Committee members are volunteers. They work collectively to set the Association’s strategic direction, monitor performance, oversee risk and financial sustainability, and ensure RHA meets its legal, charitable and regulatory responsibilities.
In return, RHA offers a full induction, mentoring from an experienced Committee member, ongoing support, training opportunities, and reimbursement of reasonable out-of-pocket expenses.
The expected time commitment is around two evenings per month, including Committee meetings, preparation, training, events, and review sessions.
Anyone interested will receive an information pack, including an application form, role description, details of the recruitment and induction process, our current Business Plan, and our most recent Annual Report.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 10 June 2026.
Informal meetings with shortlisted applicants are expected to take place on Wednesday 17 June 2026, with the opportunity for suitable candidates to observe the Management Committee meeting on Wednesday 24 June 2026.
