Fusion Assets is looking for a Project Manager to help deliver the company’s growing portfolio of property development and regeneration projects.

About the role

This new post offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with construction experience who is interested in taking forward their career delivering commercial property development and infrastructure projects within the context of a small dynamic team. Working with the Development Director you will be responsible for the delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. This will involve procuring and managing technical and design teams; tendering of construction works; including preparing employer’s requirements/specifications; budget monitoring and all other aspects of contract management relating to building and infrastructure works.

Who we’re looking for

You will have sound knowledge of Project Management, Construction, Building Standards and related legislation together with experience and an understanding of the design and construction industry. Along with excellent IT skills, you must have the ability to co-ordinate different work streams, identify and solve construction-related issues and present technical solutions.

We’re looking to recruit a confident, and motivated individual to manage and deliver procurement, construction and programming activities across multiple regeneration projects while working as a key member of a small and vibrant team. You will also have the opportunity to become involved in the wider property development cycle from a client-side perspective.

With a degree in Project Management / Architecture / Quantity Surveying / Building Surveying / Engineering or relevant subject, you will have substantial technical knowledge and relevant work experience in a construction related field.

Fusion Assets Ltd is the arms-length property development company of North Lanarkshire Council that is responsible for promoting urban regeneration and economic development within the local area. Fusion Assets operates through a unique public-private partnership model that seeks to attract investment into North Lanarkshire by delivering commercially viable development opportunities. The company’s current focus is on industrial development, but it can also cover other market sectors, including residential, office, retail and mixed-use property development schemes.

The successful candidate will be auto enrolled into the Council’s defined benefit pension scheme. The position will be based in Cumbernauld where the company has its office but with flexible home working available. You will be expected to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas to attend meetings and site visits.
