Your new role

About the role

Acting as a Hub representative, managing the project throughout the project lifecycle including design, construction & defects phase. Helping develop the projects main logic of works programme, ensure that no work commences on site until health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place. Working from East Central Scotland Hub.

  • Develop and agree the master programme.
  • Organise, chair and record project meetings with Participants & Contractors as required.
  • Develop a risk register, chair regular risk reviews, monitor and update the risk register as required
  • Monitor information flow between Participant and Contractor to ensure programme deadlines are met.
  • Drive the agreement and development of the Authorities Construction Requirements
  • Monitor Contractors compliance with the ACR’s and Contractors Proposals
  • Ensure the Contractor meets his Statutory obligations and produces and monitors a Utilities Tracker
  • Manage the development of the Stage 1 & 2 reports
  • Take responsibility for the co-ordination of the technical information required for the DBDA Agreement
  • Liaise with the hub Legal Manager in advance of and throughout financial close. Provide support where necessary
  • Develop and manage the Financial Close tracker, co-ordinating all parties as required
  • Liaise with and oversee the input of the D&B (and FM) contractors in line with supply chain agreements.
  • Operate approved project processes and procedures, taking specific cognisance of the requirements of the Project Agreement.
  • Ensure the project is operated wholly in accordance with good HS&E practice generally, and specifically in accordance with the Construction Design & Management.
  • Manage the Completion and Handover of Projects in accordance with the requirements of the Project Agreement
  • Manage the defects phase of the project in accordance with the requirements of the Project Agreement

About you

You’ll already be qualified to Degree level in Construction or Civil Engineering or have a trade background within construction. With leadership & management experience within the construction industry or housebuilding sector. Ability to supervise projects from inception to completion, whilst exemplifying our commitment to Health & Safety, and ensuring quality and best practice will be second nature to you.
