The first Passivhaus primary school project in Scotland to be constructed from cross-laminated timber (CLT) has opened its doors in Edinburgh.

Planning permission has been granted for a new community campus in Faifley, West Dunbartonshire that will bring together two primary schools, a nursery and ASN provision with a host of community facilities, including a library.

Jenny Gilruth MSP, cabinet secretary for education and skills, today witnessed construction work beginning on an integrated educational and community facility for the east end of Dundee.
