Clark Contracts invites Edinburgh students for careers visit
The University of Edinburgh - Insights Tour
Clark Contracts has welcomed University of Edinburgh students for a site visit at its student accommodation developments in Edinburgh city centre, forming part of the university’s Insights Programme.
The visit enabled students to have the chance to learn about construction career pathways and visit a live development.
Students went around the site, met project team members and participated in a question and answer session on the various roles within construction projects.
Representatives of Clark Contracts’ recruitment team were present, as well as a university alumnus, to offer guidance for career direction, the various ways of entering the industry and workplace experiences.
Michael Scanlan, director at Clark Contracts, said: “Visits like this help young people better understand the different career paths open to them, while showcasing the collaborative nature of project delivery and the variety of roles involved.”
The University of Edinburgh’s Insights Programme provides access to workplace experiences and alumni in a bid to widen students’ connections and skills for their careers.
All the while, Clark Contracts is delivering the university’s Large Animal Research and Imaging Facility (LARIF).
