The company will showcase the CityWorks hotel opportunity at the Annual Hospitality Conference (AHC) in Manchester.

Situated adjacent to Dalmarnock railway station, CityWorks would deliver a new hospitality space at the centre of the Clyde Gateway Innovation area. 

The proposed hotel would be under a minute’s walk from Dalmarnock station, enabling direct rail access to Glasgow city centre, the OVO Hydro and Scottish Event Campus, whilst Celtic Park, Glasgow Green and the Glasgow International Arena are also within walking distance.

Lisa Miller, innovation and engagement manager at Clyde Gateway, said: “Dalmarnock has reached an important point in its transformation. 

“For years we have been creating the conditions for investment by remediating land, delivering infrastructure, building homes and employment space, and attracting an exciting community of businesses.

“Now we believe the time is right to add the hospitality offer.”

Miller added: “The theme of this year’s Annual Hospitality Conference, ‘All In: Mastering Risk for Reward’, is particularly relevant to CityWorks.

“Much of the groundwork has already been done.

“Investors can see the transformation for themselves, with a growing residential population, established transport links, major visitor attractions and a thriving business community already in place.”

“Glasgow has seen significant hotel development over the last decade, but demand has largely kept pace with that growth and has actually outstripped new supply since 2022.”

Savills will market the hotel opportunity on behalf of Clyde Gateway.

Clyde Gateway will use AHC to get expressions of interest and start talks with potential partners.
