Consultation into next phase of 600-home development in Fraserburgh

Colaren Homes is to share its plans for the next phase of a 600-home development in Fraserburgh in an online consultation.

The developer was granted planning permission for the first 120 homes at the Kirkton Heights development in 2016.

It now plans to add a further 130 new homes as part of the new phase, just off the town’s bypass near Boothby Road.

A month-long virtual consultation event will share details of the proposed house sizes, community facilities, employment land, green spaces and path networks.

Land director, Gary Purves, said: “We are drawing up plans for the next phase of our award-winning Kirkton Heights development in Fraserburgh.

“In the coming weeks we will be holding a public consultation so local people can help to shape it.

“We had initially planned to hold a public exhibition, but due to the current situation with regards to public gatherings we now intend to hold an online consultation instead.

“The plans will be published on our website in due course and members of the public will be invited to give us feedback before we submit a planning application early next year.”
