Contractors sought for £2.6m social housing investment

eildon_MGEildon Housing Association is set to invest about £2.6 million in its Scottish Borders housing stock over the next three years.

The social landlord, which has over 2,200 properties in the area, is seeking expressions of interest in two major contracts as part of a stock investment programme.

The contracts, to be awarded next year, involve the installation of kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems.

A spokesman for Eildon Housing Association told our sister publication Scottish Housing News: “Eildon’s investment demonstrates our continuing commitment to providing safe, secure affordable quality homes for our tenants.

“This investment programme will ensure we achieve this aim and respond to the increasing standards that are required in the social housing sector whilst securing value for money for the Association and our tenants. We will engage fully with our tenants in taking forward this significant programme.”

The company is to host a briefing on the works programme and its procurement process on 22 October for all organisations that have registered an interest.
