Urban design consultancy Pegasus has filed a proposal of application notice for the plan on behalf of Inverdunning (Hatton Mains) Ltd and landowner W&S Crawford.

incorporating a mix of housing types and tenures, the project aspires to achieve 35% affordable housing, to be delivered via Dunedin Canmore.

The Hatton Village site is located on the A71 arterial route west of Edinburgh and sits adjacent to Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club.

In a consultation statement, Inverdunning wrote: “Hatton Village offers the potential for a new community to make a significant contribution towards Edinburgh’s housing growth requirements.

“Existing and emerging planning policy supports new housing growth in Edinburgh and, as a new settlement, Hatton Village would be able to create its own identity in terms of place and character.”
