East Dunbartonshire retail units to reach new heights

East Dunbartonshire CouncilPermission has been granted to remove a condition that restricts the building of mezzanine floors in five new units at Strathkelvin Retail Park in East Dunbartonshire.

Caledonian Property Investments Ltd lodged the planning application via agent GVA Barr.

The mezzanine floors will bring an additional 4,328sq m to the retail units, adjacent to the B&Q store.

Councillor Billy Hendry, chair of East Dunbartonshire Council’s planning board, said: “The original planning permission for the additional units was granted in 2013 and since then there have been several units occupied by new retailers such as Next.

“I am delighted that the Board has approved the removal of the conditions to allow mezzanine floors to be added, giving more flexibility to any future development plans.”
