The refurbishment and fit-out specialist has taken space at New Alderston House on Strathclyde Business Park, providing a permanent base from which to support clients and projects across North of the Border.

The move builds on Inco’s growing presence in Scotland and follows the recent completion of a major heritage refurbishment at Glasgow’s iconic 95 Bothwell Street.

Featured in Spider-Man and Indiana Jones films, the landmark building has undergone an extensive programme of specialist repairs and restoration, including work to its stonework, ornate cornices, balcony steelwork and roof parapets.

Alongside this project, Inco has also recently secured a new industrial refurbishment instruction in Blantyre, further demonstrating its growing local pipeline.

“Scotland has a fantastic business community and we’re really excited to be establishing a permanent base here,” explained Matthew Penswick, operations director at Inco Contracts.

“We’ve already really enjoyed working here and have received a warm welcome from the consultants and partners we’ve worked with so far. Having a team on the ground will allow us to develop closer relationships with clients, work with more Scottish building consultancies and become a genuine part of the local supply chain.

“This is a long-term commitment for Inco. We’re here to invest in relationships, grow our team locally and build a strong presence that we can be proud of.”

Heading up the Scottish office is industry expert Gerry Meade, who brings more than 25 years of experience delivering refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

“I’m incredibly proud to lead our expansion into Scotland and shape our presence here,” added Gerry.

 “Having a permanent base near Glasgow gives us the opportunity to be closer to our clients, better understand the local market and deliver the collaborative service that has underpinned Inco’s success elsewhere in the UK.
