Five promoted at Cushman & Wakefield

Global real estate agency Cushman & Wakefield has announced a raft of senior promotions within its Scottish operation.

Mark Finlayson, Martin Speirs and James Woodhead have all been promoted to associate partners in the business, while Scott Aird and Emma Watson are now senior surveyors.

Emma Watson

Portfolio expert Mark works on major accounts including CYB (Clydesdale Yorkshire Bank) and SEPA (Scottish Environment Protection Agency), coordinating both project management and building surveying advice across their estates.

Martin who works in the Business Space Agency team in Glasgow has had a busy year securing major lettings at 58 Waterloo Street in Glasgow, acquiring new offices in the city on behalf of Peninsula and advising Bywater Properties on its refurbishment of McLellan Works, transforming a landmark historic building in Sauchiehall Street into a creative co-working space for emerging businesses. He also successfully advised Cigna on the regear of its HQ in Greenock.



James is part of Cushman & Wakefield’s EIS (Energy, Infrastructure and Sustainability) team and works closely with DTZ Investors ESG committee on its Environmental, Social and Governance programme. He also supports Asset Services in developing its sustainability offering to clients.

Scott, who works in the Facilities Management team, is one of the leads in the recent integration project of the Virgin Money property portfolio after it was taken over by CYB.

James Woodhead

Emma, who is based in the Edinburgh valuation team, joined Cushman & Wakefield as a graduate in 2015. She was involved in the secured lending valuation of the £60m portfolio of commercial assets in Dundee purchased by Northern Irish investment firm Lotus Group last year.



Originally from Lurgan in Northern Ireland, Emma is a trained dancer and thespian and recently played the lead role in Edinburgh Music Theatre’s production of Sweet Charity.

In total Cushman & Wakefield has announced 71 promotions across its EMEA business including two at partner level and 69 at associate director/associate level.
