Gensource to exhibit at Royal Highland Show

Sustainable energy specialists Gensource will for the first time exhibit at the Royal Highland Show 2026.

The annual event, which promotes farming, food and rural life, will start on June 18th in Ingliston, Edinburgh and go on until June 21st.

Greensource staff will be present, providing technical and commercial insights, as the firm presents its EV charging and renewable energy solutions, which cater for commercial and rural sites.

Advice on project feasibility for solar, battery and EV charging will be provided by the staff who will also be able to give guidance on available funding and support strategies including the Rural and Island Infrastructure fund which aids the public EV charging infrastructure.

The team will also discuss how energy infrastructure can help diversification, especially in agritourism, amongst other areas.

Robert Wilson, co-founder and commercial director of Gensource, said: “We have attended smaller agricultural shows in Fife and East Lothian but this is a major fixture on the rural event calendar in Scotland and we are excited to be part of it.

“We will have engineers and delivery specialists on hand along with team members with experience working on rural and estate- based projects.”

Wilson added: “It will be great to engage directly with landowners, estates and businesses to explore how onsite energy generation and infrastructure can help reduce costs, improve sustainability and futureproof operations.

“It is going to be an opportunity to provide direct, face-to-face advice to businesses that may not otherwise engage with the sector and will help us raise awareness of practical, commercially viable energy solutions.”

Recently, the firm was shortlisted for SME of the Year at the Midlothian & East Lothian Chamber of Commerce (MELCC) Business Awards.

The firm’s residential home energy delivery was widened in May through its acquisition of the Perth-based Solar Kingdom.
