Green light for £100m redevelopment of Glasgow’s Corunna House

Corunna House Glasgow 2Property investor M&G Real Estate has been granted planning consent for its £100 million office redevelopment at Corunna House in Glasgow.

Under the plans, which were submitted to Glasgow City Council in January, the two existing block will be demolished to make way for a new 12-storey block consisting 275,000 sq/ft of net grade A floorspace.

Designs by Cooper Cromar include a ground floor retail/restaurant and basement car parking, with a tenth-floor setback offering opportunity for outdoor terraces.

Work on the development, which will be rebranded as 33 Cadogan Street, is expected to commence in the second quarter of next year.

Lynn Smith, director – development management at M&G Real Estate, said: “There is a clear occupier appetite for high quality office space in Glasgow and a lack of supply in the city’s office market, which makes it a prime location for investment.”
