The firm scooped the award during a black-tie gala event in Glasgow’s DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on 18 September. The awards, now in their 11th year, saw the firm also highly commended in the Scotland’s Best Home and Renovation category.

Gary Fraser, Aspire’s owner and director, said: “This is our first year entering the awards and to win Scotland’s Best Building Contractor, plus receive a commendation in the Best Home and Renovation category, is such a brilliant result.”

The firm won Scotland’s Best Building Contractor accolade in the face of competition in a category which had 23 finalists from Scotland.

Fraser added: “We knew we were up against some first-class firms at the top of their game, so it was such a great tribute to our team to pick up this top award.”

In 2019, the firm was founded by Fraser, and the firm’s projects now vary from extensions and complete renovations all the way to extensive new builds.

Aspire has also delivered several commercial projects for Luss Estates at Loch Lomond.

The firm currently has a core team of ten employees who work together with a team of sub-contractors, which includes electricians, roofers, plumbers, bricklayers, roughcasters and plasterers.

The annual awards were organised by Paramount Events. The awards ceremony included guest appearances from dance music star Kelly Llorenna, popular Clyde 1 DJ Cassi, and comedian Des Clarke, who presented the awards.
