The construction team has been back on site since June 15 with the stadium’s infrastructure and stands now really beginning to take shape.

Main contractor Malcolm Group continues to make steady and ongoing progress with the project’s groundworks, including drainage trench works, drainage for the stand roof, as well as utility services trench works.

This period of construction has also seen SP Energy Networks install the stadium’s substation, while developments continue to be made on the water mains pipework jointing and installation.

As well as this, contractors have continued with the stone fill under the North Stand, while trench works have been developed for the container bar on the East side of the ground.

The South, West and East stands are now nearing completion as Arena continues to make rapid progress following last month’s construction restart.

Arena has now begun to install the roofing on each of three stands and once this stage of the project is complete, the contractors will move to begin the construction of the Main North Stand, that will include team seating, coaches box, press seats and TV gantry.
