Inverkeithing housing plan approved once again

Inverkeithing housing plan approved once again

Plans for a small housing development in Inverkeithing have once again been approved by Fife Council.

Antonine Property Development Group Limited intends to construct four semi-detached and five detached houses on the Dunfermline Wynd site.

Councillors previously granted permission to the firm to begin the development in 2020, however the three-year time period to begin work expired, forcing it to seek re-approval from the planning authority.

But, initial plans for housing at Dunfermline Wynd goes back even further as over 20 years ago, the land was earmarked for residential development, the Courier reports.

In 2007, J & R Developments was given planning permission to build eight detached houses and all associated infrastructure, but the plans never manifested. These plans were extended by the current developers at Antonine Property in 2012 and the latest for nine houses were suggested in 2019.

The development will see a new access roach built, alongside parking, landscaping and other associated works.
