Just 52 metres left to complete Queensferry Crossing bridge deck

North-central tower final deck liftEngineers working on the Queensferry Crossing have lifted the remaining piece of deck between the north and centre tower deck spans, meaning the deck on the new bridge now stretches from Fife right across to the end of the south fan.

The closure of the north and centre deck fans is the third of four principal closures required to complete the structure.

With 105 of the 110 deck units lifted in place, only 52 metres is left to complete the new bridge deck.

A video of the operation has been released showing the tight margins within which engineers have to work to safely and successfully complete the lift
