Knight Frank doubles central belt presence with new Glasgow office
101 St Vincent Street
Knight Frank has committed to its second long-term lease in Scotland’s central belt this year, moving its Glasgow commercial property team to a best-in-class office development in the city centre.
The consultancy has taken a first floor suite at 101 St Vincent Street in Glasgow – which sits on the corner of St Vincent Street and Renfield Street – relocating after a decade at 25 Bothwell Street. Knight Frank’s building consultancy team managed the delivery of the new office’s fit-out.
B-listed 101 St Vincent Street has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment by its owner, Dunaskin Properties. A range of enhancements have been made to the building’s sustainability credentials, including going all electric on a 100% renewable tariff and achieving an EPC ‘A’ rating, with state-of-the-art end-of-journey facilities added to the basement.
The Glasgow move follows the relocations of Knight Frank’s Edinburgh team to 30 Semple Street and its Aberdeen office to Albyn Place. The firm’s three Scottish commercial property offices offer services ranging from capital markets advisory and office agency to valuations and building consultancy.
John Rae, head of office at Knight Frank Glasgow, added: “Our Glasgow team has evolved a great deal in recent years. The capital markets team remains one of the most active in the city, trading valuations has become one of our core offerings, and we’re doing more deals across the country from Glasgow – whether it is retail parks in Inverness, leisure facilities in Yorkshire, or land sales in Argyll.
“At the same time, our office agency, valuations, building consultancy, and property management teams continue to do well, working on some of the best-known properties in the city and beyond. 101 St Vincent Street provides us with a great space to take the firm forward in Glasgow and support our colleagues across the UK.”
