Lighthouse Charity raises £10,500 for construction community

The annual race night of the the Lighthouse Charity Scotland West Region took place at Hamilton Park on Friday 15th May.

The event saw 265 attendees, with 25 companies having booked tables for the event. 

Racegoers were welcomed to the Club Lawn Marquee by Martin Allan, who was representing the Lighthouse Scotland West Region, followed by Ashley Moon, the Hamilton Park Racecourse’s managing director.



Before the races, guests were served a three course meal. During the evening, a raffle raised more than £3000 and contributed to the figure of £10.500, raised in total.

Alan Gimour, chair of the Lighthouse Charity Scotland West Region said: “The committee would like to offer a huge thank you to everyone that supported the event and to those companies that generously donated raffle prizes.”

The prize donors were Hamilton Park Racecourse, Hilton Hotel Glasgow, Eastford Excavations, Blackwood Training & Plant Hire, West of Scotland Haulage, Leonardos Restaurant, Bothwell, and Waverley Cruises.

The next Lighthouse Scotland West region event is a musical cruise on the historic Waverley Paddle Steamer.
