Mabey Hire hits 14 consecutive golds at RoSPA awards

Temporary works specialist Mabey Hire has achieved the RoSPA President’s Award for the 14th consecutive year, testament to the company’s continued commitment to the highest safety standards.

Mabey Hire’s RoSPA President’s (14 consecutive Golds) Award is in relation to its health and safety performance during the period of 2025. This year’s achievement is especially significant, coming during the 70th anniversary of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards - a major milestone that celebrates seven decades of progress, leadership and life‑saving work across the safety community.

As the ultimate symbol of excellence, the internationally renowned RoSPA Awards recognise organisations, teams and projects for their unwavering commitment to protecting lives, setting the benchmark for safety and inspiring sector‑wide admiration. The application process encourages reflection and emphasises the importance of ongoing learning to reduce workplace accidents.

Speaking about the achievement, Heath McHugh, head of SHEQ, at Mabey Hire, said: “Safety truly is at the heart of everything we do. On a product level, our temporary works solutions are designed to keep people safe during infrastructure and construction works, whether that’s securing a structure, facilitating safe access to site or providing real-time alerts to potential hazards. Here at our offices and depots, as well as out on the road, our safety culture is built on a daily commitment to ensuring everyone goes home safe and well – it is woven into how we think, work and support each other.

“We work hard to promote open conversations and shared responsibilities, strengthening our culture through continuous learning. This latest RoSPA Award has been deservedly won by everyone at Mabey Hire, with all of us having our own part to play in the success.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s growth director, added: “The high standards Mabey Hire has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication. 2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It is because of the commitment of health and safety leaders, like Mabey Hire, that people today are safer at work than in the past, and sets an inspiring example for the future.”
