At the beginning of 2026, the company had an initial fundraising target of £10,000 to aid the charity’s operations in tackling motor neurone disease (MND) and has exceeded that target due to support from clients, suppliers, colleagues, friends as well as the wider business community.

Activities for fundraising included a charity raffle, Kinetic Demolition’s first ever Charity Golf Day and the 7 Hills of Edinburgh Challenge. 

The golf day went ahead at Dalmahoy Golf Club on 21 August and saw teams coming together for a Las Vegas-style Texas Scramble and friendly competition. 

Kinetic Demolition managing director James Warren said: “Our 10th anniversary is an important milestone for Kinetic, and it was great to use it as an opportunity to bring people together while raising money for such an important cause.”

Paul Thompson, director of fundraising and engagement at My Name’5 Doddie Foundation said: “We’re grateful to everyone at Kinetic Demolition for raising an outstanding £11,607 and for choosing to mark such an important company milestone by getting behind MND research.

“It’s clear how much effort has gone into bringing clients, suppliers, colleagues, friends and the wider business community together.”

Thompson added: “Every pound raised helps us fund vital research and accelerate progress towards a cure for MND, to change the future for people affected by this devastating disease.”

A member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC), Kinetic was established in 2016 and has offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. 

The company is active across sectors such as airports, defence, commercial, oil and gas, chemicals, as well as the drinks industry. 

Looking ahead, the contractor is eyeing greater expansion over the next couple of years.
