More than £154k raised at Spifox Glasgow Lunch

Another amazing Spifox Glasgow Lunch was held on Friday 30 May in the Hilton Hotel.

Thanks to the generosity and support of all the sponsors, donors, hosts and guests, a magnificent total of over £154,000 was raised that will go directly toward helping children and young people across Scotland.

The 840 guests were expertly hosted by Des Clarke and Spifox chair Frances Sim. There was entertainment from Musicall Fridays in the foyer before the lunch with singer Red and comedian Stuart Marshall performing in the Ballroom at the lunch.

Lauren Burke from Childline and Louise McMahon from Kilpatrick School, two of the main beneficiaries, spoke passionately and movingly about the work their organisations carry out and the impact the funds from Spifox will make.

A huge thank you was given to the sponsors and donors Emtec, MGN Fire Protection, CM Steel Buildings, Together Finance, Hilton Hotel and Interlink Lighting & Electrical.



Spifox chair, Frances Sim, said: “It was fantastic to see so many from the property and construction industry coming together for a great cause. We’re incredibly grateful and already looking forward to the next one!”

Since its launch in 1983 has raised over £6.7 million for children’s charities in Scotland.
