The properties were built by Robertson Partnership Homes and each features private garden space and parking.

The homes have been awarded an “A” rating for both Energy Efficiency and low CO2 emissions and benefit from solar panels and battery storage packs.

The new homes form part of a wider development which on completion will create a new neighbourhood including:

  • 40 homes for rent by Stirling Council.
  • 37 homes for rent by Forth Housing Association.
  • 49 homes for mid-market rent offered by Places for People Scotland.
  • 10 homes through the New Supply Shared Equity Scheme – a Scottish Government initiative to help people on low to moderate incomes buy new build properties.
  • 75 homes for private sale by builder Robertson under the “Living by Robertson” brand.

More keys will be handed over to tenants on this site in 2022.

Stirling Council housing portfolio holder, Councillor Jim Thomson, said: “Despite the ongoing challenges caused by the pandemic and supply chain issues, it is encouraging to see construction progressing at the site to meet demand for both affordable and market housing in the heart of this community. The homes are well placed to take advantage of the local amenities in Raploch including the Community Campus and shops.”

Depute housing portfolio holder, Councillor Alasdair MacPherson, added: “This formerly derelict brownfield site has been brought back to life and will provide a range of house types and tenure options for both families and single people.”

Depute housing portfolio holder, Councillor Danny Gibson, said: “It is a key priority of Stirling Council to create more affordable housing in all of Stirling’s communities and the developments at Raploch are a demonstration of our commitment to this.”
