New council homes planned in Torrance

East Dunbartonshire Council has published details of its plans for affordable housing units to be built at a site near Torrance Main Street.
A planning application shows that the council intends to construct two three-storey buildings, providing a total of 12 new flats for rental to tenants.
These would be erected on land which is currently vacant and close to the main street.
The application also shows that new parking would be added to the area, with a total of 15 spaces to be included in the development alongside other access, landscaping and infrastructure features.
