Persimmon Homes North Scotland has announced that Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) will remain its Charity of the Year for a fourth consecutive year.
Employees at the company’s Perth head office voted to continue supporting the children’s hospice charity, which provides vital care and support to babies, children, and young people with life-shortening conditions across Scotland, as well as their families.
Since 2023, Persimmon Homes North Scotland staff have raised more than £150,000 for CHAS through a range of fundraising activities organised by employees across the business. Events have included an annual golf competition, charity balls, dress-down days, skydives, and participation in the Kiltwalk, with staff regularly going the extra mile to support the cause.
By selecting CHAS again, employees have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the charity’s work providing hospice care in homes, hospitals, and hospices across the country.
James MacKay, managing director of Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “We are incredibly proud that our team has chosen to support CHAS for a fourth year running. The work they do supporting children and families across Scotland is truly inspiring, and raising more than £150,000 since 2023 shows the commitment and generosity of our staff.”
Fiona Young, CHAS’ community fundraiser, added: “We are so grateful to everyone at Persimmon Homes North Scotland for the amazing amount they have raised for CHAS so far and we are delighted that this valuable partnership has been renewed for a fourth year.
“The generous support from Persimmon ensures CHAS nurses, doctors, and specialists are there when parents learn the devastating news that their child is seriously ill and may die young. It helps support families live well for whatever time they have and helps provide the best possible end-of-life care.”
Persimmon Homes North Scotland will continue its fundraising efforts throughout the year, with staff already planning a new programme of events to build on the success of previous campaigns and raise even more for the charity.
