On 3 August, the Dunning Hall Group officially became the legal leaseholders of the Category C-listed building, signifying progress for its plans to place the town hall at the centre of the community. 

Persimmon Homes North Scotland contributed £1,000 to help the group as it takes the reins of the historic hall, which dates back to 1858.

Persimmon receptionist and local resident Anita Henderson presented the cheque to members of the Dunning Hall Group committee.

The funding will support the group as it starts its new role, overseeing the running and ongoing development of the town hall. 

Dunning Town Hall is situated within the village’s historic conservation area.

Established in 2024 by local volunteers, the group is a registered Scottish charity. 

The group has been working to secure the future of the hall via a Community Asset Transfer process with Perth & Kinross Council.
