The partnership will enable local apprentices to combine practical experience on Persimmon developments with college-based learning at NESCol’s Aberdeen Altens Campus. 

At present, Persimmon is building new homes at its Sycamore Park development in Newmachar and Aspen Heights in Blackdog.

Proposals are also being made for a new development in Bridge of Don.

The move comes after Persimmon’s recent donation of over 4,000 bricks to NESCol. 

Manufactured at the company’s factory in Doncaster, the bricks had been used by students who took an end-of-year skills tests. 

The partnership with NESCol is Persimmon’s 16th college partnership within Scotland.

“This partnership with NESCol will allow young people to build careers close to home, combining classroom learning with valuable experience on our developments.”

“They provide learners with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the workplace while achieving an SVQ Level 3 qualification.”
