Persimmon’s Glasgow housing development nears completion

Persimmon Homes West Scotland is entering the final stages of construction at its Sycamore Park development in Darnley, with work set to complete within the next two months.

The long-term project has already delivered 537 new homes and brought lasting benefits to the local community in Glasgow.

Since the development began, Persimmon has invested over £1 million into the local area, supporting improvements to infrastructure and services.

Sycamore Park has made a substantial contribution to the local economy, supporting 65 construction jobs and 71 supply chain roles each year, while helping to meet housing demand with energy-efficient, high-quality new homes. The site has also provided hands-on training for 10 apprentices, underlining Persimmon’s commitment to skills development and job creation.

In addition to delivering new homes, the developer has donated thousands of pounds to charities and community groups through its Community Champions programme – supporting local organisations that make a difference in people’s daily lives.

Craig Moore, Persimmon West Scotland land director, said: “We’re proud of the impact Sycamore Park has made in Darnley – delivering much-needed homes, new job opportunities and valuable community support.

“As we approach completion, we think it’s important that we thank all of our partners who have played a role in the delivery of high quality and energy efficient new homes for our customers, and in the creation of vibrant and sustainable community that the city can be proud of.”
