Planning submitted for 22 new homes in Govanhill

Inglefield-Street_from-North-Copy-880x440Plans have been submitted for a new housing development on the site of a modernist church in Glasgow on behalf of Govanhill Housing Association.

Proposals by CCG and MAST Architects will see 22 infill homes developed at the Our Lady of Consolation RC Church on Inglefield Street which was demolished in 2014.

The homes will consist of one-bedroom through to four bedroom flats all for social rent and will be designed in accordance with the adjacent building typology.

CCG OSM’s enhanced closed panel timber system will be utilised for the construction to ensure a faster speed of delivery and environmental efficiency.

Subject to planning, CCG expects to be on site in summer 2017.
