Robertson Homes acquires new Inverness site

Robertson Homes is to build 114 new homes in the south west of Inverness after completing the acquisition of a ten-acre site in Torvean.

Construction of the three, four, five and six-bedroom homes on the site overlooking Kings Golf Course on Golf View Road is set to start later this month after the planning application was unanimously approved by the Highland Council’s planning committee.

Robertson Homes said it will contribute more than £650,000 towards strategic sports, transport, education and road infrastructure, including the West Link Road, in region as part of the development agreement.

Jacqui McPherson, sales manager at Robertson Homes, said: “Robertson Homes has an excellent, longstanding reputation in Inverness following a number of developments including the sensitive refurbishment of Great Glen Hall in Westercraigs, and our award-winning development of family and starter homes at nearby Great Glen Gardens which recently sold out.

“The new Torvean development is perfectly located in this popular part of the city, ideal for commuters while offering outstanding views and easy access to the Great Glen Way, Caledonian Canal and the River Ness, for those who want to experience a more relaxing way of life. All our homes will feature the high standards of build quality and luxury specifications our customers have come to expect.”

Robertson will build a number of its ‘Garden Room’ style properties at Torvean which have proved highly popular with house buyers seeking additional, versatile space within their homes to use for home working or entertaining, along with a range of three-bed terraces, ideal for first time buyers or young families.

The first phase of homes at Torvean is expected to be released for sale this summer.
