The timber engineering business within Robertson Group has won a record haul of contracts in the last 12 weeks – amounting to £13.2 million of new revenue.

Robertson Timber Engineering, which has been designing, manufacturing and erecting precision-engineered timber for national housebuilders, hotel chains and construction firms for over 30 years, is confident this growth will be maintained throughout Q4.

Amongst the recent contract wins are hotels, residential developments and care facilities.

The leadership team behind the firm’s success believes that the new contracts are a result of an expanded sales team, which has in turn led to a growing reputation for quality in client service.

Barry Armstrong, sales director of Robertson Timber Engineering, said: “The quality of our product has always been industry leading. We quite simply have a professional sales team on the ground that engages directly with current and potential customers. They explain exactly what we do, and how we implement the best industry practices.

“Our five-year business growth strategy is based on the industry needs. We produce and manufacture our entire output in our two modern facilities located in Seaham and Elgin, which currently have additional capacity to grow. Our location, capacity and capabilities mean that we’re well placed to look after customers across the UK.

“It also helps that we have sound financial backing as part of the Robertson Group. All of these factors make us an appealing safe pair of hands.”

The business has worked hard to secure places on a variety of frameworks to attract repeat business from the country’s biggest national housebuilders.
