An archaeology and heritage consultant working with multi-disciplinary consultancy The Rocket Group has been shortlisted for the Rising Star prize at The Courier Business Awards.

Evelin Erős, who is based at the firm’s Flour Mill office in Dundee, joins the four-strong shortlist for the award which “recognises a game-changing newcomer whose vision and determination has marked them out as one to watch”.

The Courier will publish profiles of the finalists in print and online during the week of September 11th before allowing readers and digital subscribers to decide the winner.



The category winner will be announced during a black tie ceremony on October 28th.

Speaking to SCN about her nomination, Evelin Erős said: “Being nominated as a finalist for the Rising Star category within the Courier Business Award 2023 holds profound significance for me. At 26 years old, this journey marks not only a personal achievement but a testament to the transformative power of support and recognition.

Their unwavering belief in my ideas and skill development has propelled me forward in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Regional director for Scotland, Dr Greg Bremner, said the nomination is a recognition of Evelin’s hard work and willingness to embrace new technology in the field of archaeology.
