Swan Residences, located on Swan Street in the Cowcaddens area of the city, close to Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian Universities, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and easy commute to the University of Glasgow, opens in September and offers 105 studio apartments. Each has been thoughtfully designed to provide high quality living and study space.

RSBi secured the contract on the strength of its reputation, with the development’s directors choosing to appoint the business without going to market. Having worked with RSBi previously, they were keen to support local employment and to invest in sustainable jobs for disabled people. They were equally struck by the quality and competitiveness of RSBi’s products.

RSBi, is City Building’s manufacturing division, and employs more than 250 people across its operations, with over half of its workforce made up of disabled employees. The Swan Residences project adds to a growing portfolio of major Glasgow contracts, following RSBi’s recent delivery of the complete furniture fit-out for Parkhead Hub - the largest facility of its kind in the UK - which brought together NHS, Health and Social Care Partnership and community services under one roof when it opened in January 2025.

Furniture manufactured by RSBi will be installed in all 105 studios at Swan Residences. The fit-out began this week after several months of design, manufacture and assembly.
