Swan Group and Arrow Global reaffirm commitment to Corton
Swan Group, in partnership with Arrow Global, have reaffirmed a commitment to delivering a sustainable and community-focused development at Corton, following key updates to the project’s planning requirements.
The Corton landholding was acquired in 2021 by Swan Group, a Scottish developer, and Arrow Global, a European alternative asset manager with more than £15 billion in funds under management and over £450 million in annual revenues.
The original masterplan for Corton included provision for a new primary school and land for a proposed Park and Ride facility, reflecting the requirements of the local Council. However, following a recent legal decision – paired with confirmation from the Council that neither the school nor the transport facility are now required – Swan Group and Arrow Global have proposed to adjust their plans accordingly.
In lieu of the uses no longer required, the development team has proposed to revise their current planning application. The updated scheme increases overall housing numbers by enhancing the delivery of affordable homes, raising the affordable housing provision on site in line with Council requirement.
Following the Council’s change in requirements, both partners remain committed to working collaboratively with the Council and the wider community. Their shared focus is to advance a deliverable, sustainable development that brings long-lasting benefits to residents and supports the continued growth of the area.
