Taylor Wimpey West Scotland and Caledonian Properties have received an Approval of Matters Specified in Conditions (AMSC) planning consent from Glasgow City Council for their Lumloch View and Lumloch Grove developments off Robroyston Road, delivering 300 new homes across two neighbourhoods.

Lumloch View, part of the Caledonian Collection, will comprise 73 four and five bedroom detached homes, while Lumloch Grove will offer a further 227 properties in a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes from Taylor Wimpey’s latest range. Both developments will deliver homes built to Glasgow City Council’s Gold Standard Hybrid, which requires enhanced energy efficiency, low-carbon design measures, and improved building fabric performance to reduce heat loss and support lower running costs for homeowners.

In addition to the new homes, the masterplan includes generous public open spaces connected by green networks, new pedestrian and cycle links, pocket parks, and an equipped play area for the enjoyment of both new and existing residents.

Working closely with Glasgow City Council and local stakeholders, the developers will also transfer around five acres of land at Briarcroft to Barmulloch Community Development Company.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland remains committed to improving local connectivity, including providing safe crossing points over Robroyston Road to link the new neighbourhoods with existing and enhanced footpath networks. This will support active travel by enabling residents to reach schools, public transport and local services on foot or by bike.

Martin Findlay, technical director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “Along with our development partners, Caledonian Properties, we are delighted to have secured this AMSC planning consent from Glasgow City Council. “Alongside our existing Monument Way development, this positive outcome reinforces our ongoing commitment to the Robroyston area.

“Our Lumloch View and Lumloch Grove developments aim to integrate seamlessly with the established community. We are excited to deliver new open spaces, green networks and landscaping that will support health and wellbeing, while providing a high-quality choice of new homes built to Glasgow’s Gold Standard Hybrid.

“The development will also bring economic benefits, including job creation during construction and increased business for local shops and services.”

Charlotte Maclean, land & asset manager for Caledonian Properties, said: “As significant landowners around the north of Glasgow, we are committed to delivering much-needed housing and infrastructure to the area. We have partnered with Taylor Wimpey on numerous projects over the years and are pleased to have worked alongside them on this site in the popular area of Robroyston.

“Taylor Wimpey’s approach to quality, landscaping and green spaces aligns with our own beliefs. Our long-term land ownership allows us to consider the strategic development of the area for the benefit of the local communities we support.”

Martin McElroy, chief executive of BCDC, added: “The wider social and economic benefits this development will bring to the area will be hugely valuable to people in Robroyston. We’re pleased to see that Taylor Wimpey West Scotland will transfer a substantial area of land for community use, and we look forward to working in partnership to ensure this space delivers meaningful and lasting benefits for local residents.”
