Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has demonstrated its commitment to developing and rewarding high-calibre staff with the promotion of Monika Masowa to the position of assistant site manager.

Monica has been promoted from her previous role as an apprentice site manager, having consistently proven her exceptional talent and dedication throughout her successful apprenticeship and career so far with Taylor Wimpey, and she becomes the first female to complete the site management apprentice scheme in Scotland.

The 27-year-old, who lives in Arbroath, has worked for the housebuilder for just over one and a half years.

Celebrating her elevation to her new position and breaking new ground as the first female to secure a place within the site management team in the east of Scotland is great news for other trainees as Monica added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take on this fresh and exciting challenge.

“I am completing the final stages of our Fordell Lea development and finishing my two year HND in Construction Management at Fife College before joining the team at our Masterton Gardens development in Dunfermline, where I’m looking forward to playing a key role in the delivery of highquality new homes as part of our ongoing commitment in Fife.

“My apprenticeship with Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has offered me the chance to challenge myself, work with a diverse range of people to develop my skills, and hopefully I’ll eventually achieve my dream of becoming a site manager – I’ve definitely got that goal in my sights and my new role as assistant site manager is a great start.

“Taylor Wimpey is an excellent employer with a strong team ethic and my promotion proves how committed we are to developing our people and providing the support they need to fulfil their potential.”

Steven Laurie, production director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “Monica has shown real flair and commitment during her time as an apprentice site manager and fully deserves her promotion to the permanent position of assistant site manager.

“A career with Taylor Wimpey provides excellent opportunities for talented individuals to progress quickly within the company – and we’re always keen to ensure that candidates with potential are quickly identified and promoted through the ranks.”
