Taylor Wimpey duo ‘seal’ NHBC Pride in the Job awards
Two of Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s site managers are celebrating having each won a prestigious Seal of Excellence at the Scottish regional NHBC Pride in the Job award ceremony.
The awards were secured by Eddie McCann for his work at Taylor Wimpey’s Calderwood development in East Calder, and Graham Spence for the delivery of exceptional new homes at Victoria Grange in Monifieth - positioning them within the top 13 site managers in Scotland.
Commenting on the Awards, NHBC regional director in Scotland, Malcolm Macleod, said: “Pride in the Job has been pivotal in improving the quality of new homes for decades and it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Despite the numerous challenges the industry has faced in recent times due to the pandemic, the very best site managers of 2020 have kept their focus on delivering high quality new homes for their customers.
“A site manager’s role can at times be one of the most challenging in house building and their constant drive for excellence is very much at the heart of the competition. Receiving a Seal of Excellence Award is a great achievement for any site manager and a Regional Award even more so, as it places them right at the top of their profession. It’s no surprise that Pride in the Job winning sites have higher levels of customer satisfaction as these homes are without doubt among the best the UK has to offer.”
Tommy Stirling, production director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, added: “Securing two Seal of Excellence Awards in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job reflects our firm commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service. We are delighted to see Eddie and Graham be recognised as two of the best site managers in Scotland this year, which also reflects the impressive team effort at our developments across the east of Scotland to deliver high-quality new homes to our customers.”
