Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has cause to celebrate after eight site managers each scooped a prestigious National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s Paul Cunningham (Dargavel Village, Bishopton), Iain Alexander (Taylor Wimpey at Smithstone); Dougie Kirkland (Newton Farm, Cambuslang); Alan Meek (Raven’s Cliff, Motherwell) and Scott McNulty (Walker’s Gate, Kilmarnock) joined Colin McNeish (Almond Park in Musselburgh), Eddie McCann (Calderwood, East Calder) and Graham Spence (Masterton Gardens, Dunfermline) from Taylor Wimpey East Scotland in receiving their individual awards.

Each of the site managers now go forward to the Scottish regional awards final to be held in Glasgow in October to find out who’s the best of the best in Scotland.

Beating off stiff competition from thousands of entries, these awards recognise the firm’s dedication to building high quality homes for new homebuyers across Scotland.

Presented following a stringent judging process by NHBC inspectors who perform spot checks on developments throughout the year, the Quality Awards also provide homebuyers with the assurance that the development provides top quality homes and excellent customer care.

Brian Henderson, production director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We are focused on delivering great homes for our customers and our site teams work hard to make sure that everyone is working to the highest standards each and every day.

“Our five site managers now move to the final stages of the regional competition and we’re really proud to acknowledge that we have some of the best site managers in Scotland.”

Martyn Campbell, production director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, added: “The whole team at every development takes great pride in what they do, and they work extremely hard to ensure the homes that we build are completed to the highest possible standards for our customers.

“I’m delighted that three of our site managers have reached this stage of the competition and to be recognised by the industry in this way and I’m looking forward to the final awards ceremony in Glasgow later this year.”

The regional events take place in the autumn, with the Supreme Awards gala final being held in January 2017.
